Is Nothing Something?

Is nothing something? Or is nothing the absence of something? Or is something the absence of nothing?

Nothing only exists because of the idea of something, because nothing only exists because of something. Nothing is the opposite of something. If there was something and now there is no longer that something, you say there is nothing. Therefore you could say that nothing can only exist if there was the existence of something there at one point.

Or is nothing just that, nothing? If nothing is nothing, then it is not something, right?

When you use the double negative of nothing, “not nothing”, you mean something, so then nothing is something.

What do you think, is nothing something, or is just that, nothing?

  1. I think nothing is something, because both nothing and something are human-made concepts, even a word is a human-made concept, and a human-made concept is a human-made concept. I think we can truly never explain what nothing is, because we would need language to do that, which again, is human-made.
