Does a person’s name affect who they become?
Our names have a very big influence on us.
Some research shows that children whose names start with the letter A or B achieve higher grades throughout the whole of schooling, than children whose names start with C or D.
So – does a person’s name affect who they will become in the future?

I feel that a name can not define a person or have anything to do with their actions or grades. Some people can legally change their names, but that doesnt change their personality or have an affect on their grades. But if you grew up without a name – would you still be the same person you are today? Or if you were on a dessert island on your own, would you name yourself?
I don’t think a person’s name can affect who they become as it is all just language in which we apply to people or objects in order to give them meaning. I don’t think a persons name changes their actions or who they become in the future. For example I don’t believe someone will be picked over another person as for their name for a job, but rather they are picked over their ability.
