Nick was educated at Cranleigh School (2 & 3 South 1958-1962) and is married with two daughters. His commercial activities are primarily involved with the timber industry. He has been Executive Chairman of Consolidated Timber Holdings Ltd since the inception of the company in 1990 and is currently Chairman Emeritus and a Special Adviser. Nick was President of the Timber Trade Federation of the UK from 1992-1994.
Nick was a Governor of Cranleigh School 1998-2014 and is currently Chairman of the Cranleigh Foundation and President of the Old Cranleighan Golfing Society and has been President of the Old Cranleighan Rugby Football Club since 2006. He is a liveryman of the Worshipful Companies of Carmen, Upholders and Furniture Makers.
